Now a
Trefoil Member but a retired Guide and
Brownie Guider and District Commissioner,
I wish I could make contact with the many
women 'out there' to tell them what a
great organisation Girl Guiding is!
To work with girls of
such mixed abilities - the shy ones who
gain confidence within a Six or
Patrol; the awkward ones who become
accomplished in specific fields and how
the confident ones learn to care and help
others - all these many 'life learning'
skills are in the hands of their
Guider. What a tremendous pleasure
it is to see one's 'young charges'
blossom forth and in turn, what fun the
adults can have during their meetings and
especially during a Pack Holiday or
Camp. If only they
knew!!!
