Knebworth District is made up of 3 Guide Units, 5 Brownie Units and 2 Rainbow Units. We also have a very strong Young Leader section.

The Guiders in our District have over 173 years combined guiding experience, with two of our Brownie Guiders having just been presented with awards for twenty years service each to Girlguiding.

That’s a lot of camps, pack holidays, crafts, adventures and badges.

During the summer some of our Guides enjoyed a trip to Austria. Others camped at Phasels Wood.
Hertbeat FM Logo Some Guides visited Heartbeat FM and were able to talk live on air.Which was a bit nerve racking for the Guider in charge. Guides in the District have also worked towards their ‘Music Zone’ and ‘Party’ Badges along with the ‘Showtime’ Go for it.
We also have a new Guide unit in Woolmer Green who are currently looking to increase their numbers.
Brownie Logo Brownies in the District have been looking into how the Brownie movement started and learning about the sorts of things that Brownies used to do. This has counted towards gaining their Brownie Traditions badge.
Others have been on walks through the local woods and learned about compass points and the stars.

There have been fashion shows and archery competitions.

One unit went on a pack holiday weekend where the theme was the Olympic Games. They made edible olympic torches, decorated scarves, enjoyed fun running games, such as a dressing up race and also participated in seeing how it would be for athletes with a disability to compete in a sport.
Rainbows have been busy with Halloween and Guy Fawkes and are looking forward to their Christmas Party.

They have also started the new Rainbow programme and are quite excited about it.

The Young Leader section are looking to meet on a regular basis which could involve such activities as bowling and ice skating.
