Girlguiding Stevenage - girls in the lead

On 28th March 1st Pin Green Rainbows and Brownies completed their Royal Wedding Challenge badge by holding their very own Monkey Wedding. The Rev. Paul Seymour conducted a traditional wedding ceremony at All Saint's, The Oval in Stevenage where he "married" Bride Muvpa and Groom Pickles. The Bride looked lovely in her white wedding dress and sparkly gold and silver pipe-cleaner tiara, and even cuddly Pickles managed to scrub up and don a bow-tie for the big day!

The Rainbows took on the roles of the bride's friends and family and the Brownies represented the groom's relatives. All the guests enjoyed the ceremony and the Wedding Breakfast buffet which they had also planned as part of the challenge. Other activities to gain the badge included making wedding invitations, wrapping presents, playing royal themed games and making tiaras.

The wedding was a special event for Rev. Paul as it was his first wedding at All Saint's and his first monkey wedding too!
