Pin Green District - Newsletter September 2010

Events within the district included the weekend at Wymondley Wood, celebrating the centenary with other members of Stevenage. Both Guide units camped and many of the Rainbow and Brownie units came along during the day to enjoy the activities on offer.

More recently members of all ages came together to work towards the Decades Game, which was a great success. We had lovely weather and a great location of Giles School field. There were some challenging activities for all members, these included grass skiing, first aid, the world map, a scavenger hunt and many more!

There have been trips into London by many units; some managing to visit the Centenary Maze and others making their promise on the London Eye.

There is much planned within the district during the summer holidays: some members are camping at Hit the Heights and others are taking the trip up to Leeds for Fusion.

Once the summer is over it’s a trip to Alton Towers for the Guides, Kentwell for the Rainbows and many more exciting things for all!
